Welcome to my web page! My name is Amy DiPalma and I am a Resource teacher at Mauldin High School. Students in my classes qualify for my services through their Individual Education Plans (IEPs). In my class, students work towards successfully completing their required Carnegie Unit coursework, remediating deficit areas as described in their IEP goals, becoming advocates for themselves, and transitioning to life after high school.
This is currently my 12th year of teaching but it is my sixth year in Greenville County. I taught in West Virgina for seven years before moving to South Carolina. I have two daughters, ages 10 and 12, they attend Bethel Elementary and Mauldin Middle. I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In addition, I earned my Master's degree in Learning Disabilities and Mental Impairment from Marshall University. After that, I completed an additional Master's degree in Educational Leadership. My additional hours have been in a variety of areas, including technology work and integrating the arts into everyday education.
As a teacher, I try to use a variety of learning styles and student interests to make subject matter come alive and to help students learn as effectively and efficiently as possible. I enjoy learning and I try to pass on that interest to my students.
If you have any questions during the school year or need to contact me for any reason, please feel free to call me at the school at 355-6611 or contact me by email at adipalma@greenville.k12.sc.us.
Let's have a great year!
