Welcome!    
    Let me tell you about myself.  I have lived in this area all of my life. I went to Greenbrier Elementary School, Hillcrest Middle School, and Mauldin High School. After graduating from high school, I attended Anderson University for two years and then went on to Clemson University where I received my B.A. in Early Childhood Education.  I earned my Masters Degree with a focus in writing from Clemson, also.    
     My husband, Bill, and I have two children, Renee and Graham. Renee and her husband, Matthew, live in Portland, Oregon.   Graham lives at home while working on a BS Degree in Fish and Wildlife Management online with American Public University.   My husband teaches Social Studies at Mauldin High School. Our family pets are Rusty, Claire and Stevie.  Rusty is a six year old Min-Pin who enjoys bossing the rest of the family,  Stevie is my daughter's six year old Maltese and enjoys looking pretty. Claire was my Christmas present last year and is a Golden Retriever with an English Cream coloring.  She flew from Utah to live with us and is spoiled rotten.
     My interests and hobbies are reading Christian novels, jogging, training in and teaching Tae Kwon Do, cooking for my family, and bike riding with my husband. My husband and I have owned Huggins Tae Kwon Do Academy in Mauldin for the past 25 years where I enjoy training and teaching children and adults. Tae Kwon Do is very special to me because it is an activity that my family enjoys doing together.   My husband is an 8th degree Grandmaster and I am a 7th degree Master Instructor.  I have been teaching taekwondo for 25 years and Elementary students for 20 years.
      I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and fourth grade. I think second grade is a great age. Children really begin to develop their independence and sense of responsibility during this very important year in school. I look forward to being a part of your child's life and to the privilege of having he/she in my class this year.
