Homework
Please see your child's planner for weekly homework.
All students are required to write down their homework for the week at the start of that week (usually Monday but sometimes a Tuesday).
I sign everyone's planner to verify the homework is written correctly.

International Baccalaureate Mission Statement
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable
and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world
through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education
and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.


        
 
IB MYP Science Goals:
One World: explain how science addresses local and global issues.
Communication: use scientific language correctly and effectively.
Knowledge & Understanding: learn scientific content
Inquiry: define the purpose of an investigation, form a hypothesis and complete the experiment process.
Data Processing: transform data into diagrams and graphs.
Lab Safety: use appropriate tools and work with lab group to complete tasks.
 
Test Re-take Policy
Any student who scores an 84% or below on a test may request the opportunity to re-take the test and teachers must honor this request.  Students have five days after receiving the graded test to schedule a time before or after school to retake the test.
Re-do policy does not apply to projects/ major writing assignments; however, late work policy applies. 
Late Work Policy
Any assignment that is late is subject to a 10 point deduction for each day that is late.
Assignments that are missed when a student is absent must be made up within 5 days of returning to school unless other arrangements have been made with the teacher.
