Our vision centers on a shared philosophy that our diverse student body must be served with a personalized plan for each and every student regardless of starting point, where the focus begins at the student's current academic level and continues to guide him or her to ultimate goal, graduation, fully prepared and confident to contribute to society.
Upcoming Events: Registration/IGP Conferences: Feb. 9th- Mar. 6th Registration invitation letters went home on January 19th explaining registration procedures for the 2012-2013 school year. Students will come down to meet with a counselor during a 15 minute window to select electives and review teacher recommendations. STUDENTS: Please be prepared with your desired electives chosen when you meet with the counselor. -March 27th - Course requests will go home with report cards for FINAL signatures on next year's class requests. No changes will be made after this time. Choose your electives wisely!!!
-Classroom Guidance- October 17th and 21st -I will be in Social Studies classes to discuss with students: SC high school graduation requiremnts, SC College and University admissions requirements, as well as information about the SC Lottery Tuition Scholarships (Palmetto Fellows, LIFE, HOPE, and need based grants). Students need to start planning NOW to be ready and able to pay for college in the next four year.
-Students will once again complete the KUDER career interest inventory. These assessments will be coordinated by our school's CDF, Mr. Elbert Parks.
- Date Rape and Sexual Harassment presentations Students with Social Studies 1st semester will have informative lessons conducted during the month of Ocotober by a trained professional from the Julie Valentine Project (formally Rape Crisis Center).
