Welcome!

Students and Parents, it’s that time again and Welcome Back to School!!!!!! I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Barbara L. Simmons and I will be one of your child’s teachers at  Mauldin High School.  I am married to Robert Simmons and together we have four children: Immanuel, Quentin, Josiah and Kayla.

Ms. Scott will assist me in the classroom. We look forward to this school year and working with your child. I bring to you 25 years of teaching experience. This is my fourth year at Mauldin High and fifth year in Greenville County School District.

I am a graduate of Lander University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Home Economics and Clemson University with a Masters of Education in Secondary Special Education. I am certified in the following areas by the state of South Carolina: Home Economics, Trainable Mentally Disabled, Educable Mentally Disabled and Learning Disabled. Additionally, I am National Board Certified in Early Childhood through Adulthood Exceptional Needs Specialists. I am Highly Qualified in Special Education. Other training includes Intel, First Aid and CPR.
