Hello!
I am Thomas "Buck" Wall your social studies teacher this year. It is a pleasure to have you in my class and hopefully prepared to work to achieve our goal of improving your academic growth and marketable skills. My expectations for your success are as high as the personal goals I will work to reach this year as your teacher.
Here is a brief biography about my family and myself:
I am married to my dearly betrothed,Pam (17 years), who is a guidance counselor at Riverside Middle. We have two wonderful sons, Adam (13) and Conner (16).  Adam  is entering the seventh grade at Langston. He loves to play football. He is going on the Washington, D.C. trip this year.
Conner is entering the eleventh grade. He attends J.L. Mann High School as part of their technology program. He loves reading, social studies, and playing video games.
He is taking mainly honors courses and two AP course this year.

I am beginning my nineteenth year in the teaching profession and my thirteenth at Hillcrest High. My previous experience came at Southside High (Greenville) and Westside High (Anderson). I recieved my B.A.in History (1990) and M.A. in Social Studies (1998) from Furman University.  In 2003, I recieved National Board Certification in social studies. This is my sixth year teaching Advanced Placement courses: Human Geography(2005) and U.S. History (2006 to present). I am Gifted and Talented certified and have the Advanced Placement endorsement in United States history.

Since June 2008, I have participated as a Reader for the AP US History test in Louisville, Kentucky. I am grading AP US Tests from June 1-8, 2012.
