The mission of Buena Vista Elementary is to educate
all students academically while supporting them socially
and emotionally as they develop into productive citizens
and lifelong learners. 
Class Mission Statement
We come to school to learn and become smart so that we can learn to read and read to others so that we can go to first grade.

 7:45-8:15 – Unpack/ Morning Work/ BVTV (Buena Vista’s morning TV program)

8:15-8:30 – Read Aloud/ Morning Message/ Walk the track

8:30-9:00– Calendar Math

9:00-10:00 - Work Stations:  Independent Work, Group Activities, Teacher                   Assessment 

10:00-10:30 – Recess (Monday:  Computer Lab)

10:30-10:35 – Prepare for lunch

10:35-11:10 – Lunch

11:10-11:50 – Centers

11:50-12:15 – Snack/ Bathroom/chapter book read-aloud                   

12:15-12:45 – Journals/ Writer’s Workshop/ RIT & RTI Groups

12:45-1:30 – Word Families

1:30-1:45 – Clean-up Centers/ Pack up for Dismissal

1:45-2:15 – Related Arts (Monday:  Recess)

2:15-2:30 – Dismissal

Tuesday:  P.E.  (Make sure you wear tennis shoes):  Coach Mike Yerrick

Wednesday:  Library- Mrs. Natalie Hester

Thursday:  Music- Mr. Dan Leach
