Welcome! to the web page for Donna Corn's class, the special education class for the educable mentally disabled students. This site has been designed to provide you with information about the curriculum, instruction, and assignments for our class.
All of the students are experiencing many changes. For the sixth graders comes the transition from elementary school to middle school. For the returning seventh and eighth graders are the changes in class composition and curriculum. There are also many new adjustments for all students who are new to Hillcrest Middle School. Additionally, for the eighth graders comes the realization that high school is "just around the corner." My suggestion for all students is never be afraid to ask for help as you make the transition to this class.
Throughout the year the students will receive instruction in all of the academic subjects as well as instruction in career transition skills. Our goal is for each student to leave middle school and to enter high school prepared to pursue an occupational diploma.
