Hello! I am a teacher of deaf and hard of hearing students at Sara Collins, and also the parent of a deaf adult (who graduated from Sara Collins!) My students range in age from kindergarten to third grade. I am an experienced cuer and I have three CLT/Aides that also work with students; Bonnie Impson, Jodi Garrick, and Amy Milligan. A CLT is a cued language transliterator. Cueing and speaking simultaneously supports the student's acquisition of English, while assuring that the entire spoken message is clear and accessible. For more information on Cued Language see the National Cued Speech Website at

My students come to me for different amounts of time during the day. Kindergarten and first grade students concentrate on development of age appropriate language through units centered around classic children's literature. The second graders normally come to resource for language development and support with completion of assignments from their regular classroom. They receive tutoring in their area of difficulty, either one-on-one or in a small group. All students receive daily monitoring and trouble shooting for their assistive technology (hearing aids, cochlear implants, and FM systems.)
