Behavior Management - Making Wise Choices My behavior plan this year encourages students to make wise choices in their behavior. In the room behind my desk is a barn. Each child has an owl on a perch on the barn. The owl stays on the green perch if they are having a good day. Students are encouraged to stay on the green perch. I give several warning before I move an owl. The first time a student breaks a rule after being warned, then their owl is moved to the yellow perch. They will loose 5 minutes of free time at recess. The second time they break a rule they are moved to the orange perch. They will use 10 minutes of free time at recess. The third time they break a rule, they are moved to the red perch. They loose all free time at recess. A note or phone call will be made to the parents.
A behavior sheet will be attached to the daily red folder. It will have a colored check for each day to let your know which perch your child's perch is on.
