Blue Ridge Middle School Visit on 7 October and 14 October
SC-20023 Awareness Presentation Team
Purpose and Activities
The Awareness Presentation Team (APT) is a co-curricular cadet group responsible for raising awareness about the Blue Ridge High School AFJROTC unit in the community. Such activities include: attending recruitment opportunities at Blue Ridge Middle School; answering any questions regarding the AFJROTC program; and performing ceremonies such as flag etiquette, flag folding, and POW tables in the community and at the middle and elementary schools.
Awards for presentation
The Awareness Presentation Team Badge is awarded to cadets who make at least three public appearances or presentations as a member of the unit's Awareness Presentation Team. Members must earn it through attendance in meetings, involvement, and appearances. The Recruiting Ribbon is awarded to any cadet who takes part in three or more recruiting visits to prospective cadets at BRHS or BRMS. Cadets also have the opportunity to serve as a non-commissioned officer (NCO) and can receive a higher temporary rank as well as participate as a leader within the cadet corp.
