My Educational Philosophy Summary
My outlook on education is closely related to my philosophy on life. I don't think you can be close minded to any philosophy, be it a classical style or a contemporary outgrowth philosophy. Education should develop and guide the students' mind, spirit, and soul. It must help them to become the very best possible person they can be. My methods of teaching would vary according to the ability, interests and preferred modality of the students and the content of the material. Idealistically, I do not feel so much emphasis should be placed on evaluation and grades, but the fact is they are important meters. The teacher should be prepared to expose the children to great truths, great ideas, and correct facts. This carries a great responsibility as well as a great honor. Children will learn early early their role in their education. Taught well, they will develop a love for knowledge. My philosophy is like the children I will teach, ever evolving, alive, and growing.
