We spent a week with the Political Science Department at Furman and then a week in Washington DC that I also enjoyed.
I was fortunate to be selected by the Goethe Institute in 2007 to travel with fellow teachers throughout Germany. We visited Berlin, Hamburg, Schwerin, Kassel, Frankfurt, and Heidelburg. An experience I am looking forward to sharing with my students this year.
In 2006 I was honored to be selected as the South Carolina Middle School Social Studies Teacher of the Year and in 2007 was selected as the National Council for the Social Studies National Middle School Social Studies Teacher of the year.
