Sara Collins Mission Statement

The mission of Sara Collins Elementary School is to educate children to become knowledgeable, responsible citizens in a global society by providing a meaningful curriculum that integrates community and technological resources. 


Welcome to the 2011 - 2012 school year at Sara Collins. 

In Ms. Beard's music class this year we will explore the elements of music through singing, dancing, playing instruments, and movement activities.  We will build our music vocabulary and learn how to read and write music notation.  We will investigate different musical styles, study cultures near and far, and learn about the lives and accomplishments of musicians from all around the world!  Are you ready?  Let's get started!
