Welcome to sixth grade science!
I am very excited about our year. We will study five units: Scientific Inquiry, Atmosphere and Weather, Conservation of Energy, Animals, and Plants. My philosophy is that science is fun and can be made simple. I look forward to sharing the concepts of science through class room instruction, hands-on labs, mind-blowing demonstrations, guest speakers, and humor.
This is my ninth year in Greenville County schools, with this being my fifth year teaching 6th grade science here at Bryson. I grew up in Simpsonville and attended Bryson Middle and Hillcrest High. I have one daughter, Asheton, who just turned 6 years old. Despite being a graduate of the USC system, I am an avid Clemson football fan. Go Tigers!
I truly look forward to working with you and your child to make this year a success. I strongly encourage parental involvement in school, and I urge you to contact me at anytime and for any reason. Together, parents, teachers, and students make an unbeatable team.
Sincerely,
Ms. Skardon
