Hello,

My name is Kelly Adams, but the students know me as "Miss Kelly."  I am the Media Center Clerk at Lakeview Middle School.  I graduated from Tulane University in 2002, with a BA in Psychology, and I have worked at Lakeview since August of 2006.

So, what's it like to be a Media Center Clerk?  Well, some days, you might find me reading books with students, or checking books out to students, or helping a student with his/her classwork.  Other days, you may find me monitoring the Geometry I Honors class, chaperoning a field trip or helping out with technology inventory.  Each day is unique, which is why I love my job so much!

Over the years, my job has grown and changed quite a bit.  One new thing that I do is I monitor the Geometry I Honors Virtual School class.  I make sure that the Geometry students stay on task and help them if they don't understand a concept.  Sometimes, if the Geometry students need extra help, I will tutor them during their Related Arts classes.  I have added a link on the left of this page that explains more about the Geometry I Honors class.

Another task that I do is that I help teachers troubleshoot their technology issues in their classroom.  If a teacher can't get their Promethean board, laptop, desktop or printer to work, they call me and I help them solve the issue.  If I can't fix the problem, then I put in a call to ETS to get them to send a technician to help.  I have added a couple link on the left that explains some basic troubleshooting tips that you can try. I also added a link that explains what each of the cables that we generally use at Lakeview are used for.   If you need to contact me, please email me at keadams@greenville.k12.sc.us and I will write back as soon as possible.
