Mitzi - my dog Cinnamon - my puppy
Hi! My name is Lisa Brownlee. I have been at Alexander Elementary for 5 years. I have taught 5th and 2nd grades. Before that I was a 4th grade teacher at Westcliffe Elementary in Greenville, and taught with Laurens EB Morse Elementary as a 4th grade teacher.
I am a graduate of Lander University in Greenwood, SC with a BS degree in Elementary Education. I am a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an education honor society. I am considered a highly qualified teacher by the state of South Carolina. I have two children and three dogs. My dogs are Mitzi, who was a rescue, a 1 1/2 year old Golden Retriever named Cinnamon, and a Bichon Frise named Brady. My daughter, Staci, lives and works here in Greenville. My son, Greg, and his wife, Beth, live in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Greg & Beth are CLEMSON graduates. Dr. Greg is also a graduate of Medical University of South Carolina [MUSC] . In his "spare" time, he teaches at MUSC. They have an Old English Sheepdog, Sterling. You can see my family loves dogs!!!
I strongly believe that ALL children can learn. Our class motto is "Whatever it Takes" and that is exactly what I will do to see that our students learn. We use lots of methods to teach including technology, hands-on learning manipulatives, games, computers, and our technology, etc.
Learning CAN be F U N !!!
