DANCE EDUCATION
Welcome to Dance at League! The dance curriculum is designed to reflect the National Standards for Dance Education and the SC Frameworks for Dance Education. Your child has a unique opportunity to learn about dance as an art form and cultural experience. Students will learn the basic techniques of creative movement and modern dance, as well as choreography, performance skills, and dance criticism. Seventh and eighth graders will study Ballet and Modern Dance History as well. At the end of the semester, all classes will perform their original choreography in an evening of dance.
