The Misson of RCMS: The mission of Ralph Chandler Middle School is to provide an environment that is conducive to learning and focuses on academic excellence. 

Our vision is that Ralph Chandler Middle School will be a community of learners that embraces diverse educational opportunities in order to determing purpose, discover worth, and realize potential.

The guidance program is an integral part of the total educational process.  Focusing on the needs of young adolescents, guidance services include individual and small group counseling, classroom guidance, and crisis intervention.  

Classroom guidance and small group counseling may include:

    1.  Meeting and Making Friends
    2.  Controlling Anger
    3.  Coping with Loss
    4.  Dealing with Divorce/Separation
    5.  Improving Study Skills
    6.  Surviving Middle School
    7.  Managing Time and Stress
    8.  Coping with Peer Pressure
    9.  Conflict Management Skills                        
                             

The guidance office opens at 8:15 a.m. and closes at 3:30 p.m. The guidance department also coordinates standardized testing, career education activities, referrals to community agencies, student registration, Individual Graduation Plans, and course scheduling.
