SCHOOL MESSENGER – MAY 14, 2012

WHAT A TIME OF YEAR!  A SPECIAL THANK YOU FOR HAVING YOUR STUDENTS AT SCHOOL, ESPECIALLY FOR TESTING!  Now – this week begins some exams, and 8th grade festivities and yearbooks and all – LOT GOING ON!  Help us keep your children in the SCHOOL MINDSET…

vOK – Spring is here – and attire seems to be slipping.  Be sure that your child’s outfit or clothes meet our current dress code.  This means that we need to watch for clothes that are too tight, too low or show more skin than we need

to see.  J

vWe have PASS Makeup testing, so if your child was absent last week, they will need to makeup PASS testing.

vThe ENGLISH I EOC is Tuesday, and the ALGEBRA I EOC is Thursday.

vThere is an ART SHOW for this semester’s art students on Tuesday from 4-5:30.

vThe BAND CONCERT is Thursday at 6:30 pm.

vFriday is EIGHTH GRADE DAY AND DANCE!  Eighth graders are reminded to bring in $10 – this is $5 for the t-shirt and $5 for the ticket for the dance.  We also need you to bring in bottled waters or 12 packs of sodas to have for that day.  The dance is from 6:00-9:00 pm.  ALL FINES AND TEXTBOOKS MUST BE CLEARED!

vParents, a limited number of extra copies of the yearbook have been ordered. AThey will be available on Friday afternoon for $$40 CASH ONLY.  This is on a first come, first serve basis!

vThe SPORTS ATHLETIC BANQUET is Tuesday at 5:00 at Gatti Town.

vOur SCHOOL STORE is open on Tuesday and Friday mornings this year – it helps take away the “don’t have any paper or pencil” argument….

vThanks for having your kids here on time to be READY for class at 8:25 and for picking them up on time at 3:25.  The testing season is opening, so it is especially important to have your kids here on time.  Also – the folks who live on the lake have specifically asked that students NOT get on their property in the afternoon while waiting for their rides to pick them up.

Thanks for all you do to help make LEAGUE A NATIONAL SCHOOL TO WATCH and for your assistance with our “EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT” State Report Card.
