Here are seven things I would LOVE to see each of my students strive for this year!

1.      Do what’s hard for you. Remember, “Just ‘okay’ is not enough.”

2.      Pursue excellence, not excuses. As someone once said, “No one ever excused his way to success.”

3.      Take a stand for what is right. You might be surprised how many people might follow you. And even if they don’t follow you, you might be surprised how good you feel about doing what you know is right.

4.      Be part of the solution, not part of the problem. That’s pretty self-explanatory. Just “being” is worthless; you’re just taking up space.

5.      Be faithful & dependable. "Show me a man who cannot bother to do little things and I'll show you a man who cannot be trusted to do big things." (Lawrence Bell)
6.      Wherever you are, be all there. Give 100% 100% of the time.

7.      Don’t waste your life (or your youth or your brain or your talents or your time or…you get the point.) And don’t let anyone despise your youth. Being a teenager doesn’t mean you have to be irresponsible, immature, and foolish; prove the stereotype wrong.
