The speech pathologists at the Washington Center are focused on creating individualized and alternative modes of communication for all of the students.  We work with the teaching staff to find ways to provide communication opportunities.  Some students use switches to interact with their enviroment.  Many of our students use objects, pictures and voice output communication devices to communicate.
