I would like to tell you a little about myself and my expectations of each student. I am from North Carolina and have taught for over eight years. I am a graduate of Catawba College and have recently attained my National Boards in science. I sincerely desire that each student have a successful learning experience. To accomplish this task, the curriculum will involve the student in activities and labs, as well as, note taking and study skills. Students are expected to arrive on time for class with all needed materials and a positive attitude.
All students are expected to study hard and be well prepared for class each day. Each student will receive an interim report midway through the quarter. Please ask your child about his or her grades. The expectation is for all students to do very well in this course. To ensure that each student have the same opportunities all school policies will be followed regarding tardiness, attendance, make-up work, and discipline.
If you wish to discuss your students achievements please do not hesitate to email or call anytime. A weekly agenda will be posted will be on my website. The website will include PowerPoint notes, short and long term assignments, forms such as the syllabus and lab format, and important dates. I look forward to working with you to help each student do his or her very best.
