The media center is a place for students, teachers, parents, and community members. It is our mission to ensure access to the ideas of the past, the concepts of the present, and the possibilities of the future so that members of the school community will become effective users of ideas and information. Creating a foundation for lifelong learning is at the heart of the school library media program. Just as the school library media center has moved far beyond a room with books to become an active, technology-rich learning environment with an array of information resources, the media specialist today focuses on the process of learning rather than the dissemination of information.
