Welcome to B108 and English with Mrs. Studer. The first point to remember, if you are a student or a parent, is passing English each year is a requirement for high school graduation. Working toward full credit must be a concern throughout the year not simply at the end of the second semester.

The primary literary content for English IV CP is British literature literature for; however, research and composition elements play important roles in the overall content of the courses. In fact, the research paper will begin during the first nine week grading period for senior English. All students must submit a finished paper in order to pass  English IV CP.   IV CP is a designation for classes composed of students who are planning to pursue a college education upon completion of high school. I have constructed the curriculum so students will experience a smooth transition from high school English to college-level English.

Film criticism is an elective course which will expose students to film and cinematography.  Students will become active, critical viewers of various film genre by discussing and critiquing action, directing and production techniques.  Students will be required to write various compositions related to film, prepare projects related to cinema, and study movie critics and their writing.
