SKILLS CLASS:

As the new "SKILLS" teacher at Riverside Middle, I will be a great resource for the students who need help. I will be working with grades 6-8 and in all curriculum areas. I have worked in a similar capacity as a teacher in the group home setting for 13 years. I will be a professional, positive role model for a population of students who are struggling academically and need a little boost in the right direction. I believe that every student can learn and become a healthy and a productive citizen. Some students need a different approach, and "one on one" help, to encourage them to reach their goals and make the grades that are capable of making. I will try to make each student feel that they are appreciated for who they are as individuals, and that they are capable of reaching the goals they have set for themselves.
