Staying on top in chemistry class

Now that the year is well under way it is important to remember some very helpful advise.  The key to success in any chemistry class is to treat it like an athlete would a sport.  Take it one day at a time and learn new content each day as well as practice working problems each day even if they are are not assigned.

You can not master chemistry and chemistry math by just listening in class.  You must keep trying to work problems until they become easy.  At first you may not get many correct but each one that you work correct or incorrect will help you become a better problem solver.

You homework for the rest of the year is to spend 10 to 15 minutes each day, in addition to assigned chemistry problem, studying what was covered that day in class.  Study through and each time you come across something new ask yourself why a something is true.  The knowing why is the key to doing well in any science.

Also keep coming to "chem cram"!!!!!  Just having your personal questions answered really helps in the understanding of the why.
