Availability:
Should you need to contact me, please call my classroom phone (355-7830) and leave a message.  I will return your call as soon as possible. I am available for assistance to students in Room F212 from 7:30 - 8:00 am and 3:45 -4:15 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Please make prior arrangements for meeting, if possible.


CLASS OVERVIEW:
Art I
is an introductory course designed for students to obtain a broad experience in the visual arts. Students will have opportunities to explore most categories of studio art, as well as a basic world history of art. 
Art II students will continue sequential development of art skills and concepts through in-depth exploration of a variety of media and techniques. Students will keep an art portfolio throughout the school year and have a "One Person Art Show" between February and May.
Art assignments are planned in accordance with the SC Visual Arts Standards.  In addition to learning and developing art skills, your student will learn to use various materials, meet deadlines, be productive and efficient, and to find confidence in exploring their creative side.

MATERIALS REQUIRED For Art I or Art II:
*Art Fee of $12.00            
*9"x12" sketchbook        
*1" 3-Ring Binder or Notebook and Folder for 
  Handouts/Notetaking

Optional Membership Fee:
Membership in National Art Honor Society is highly encouraged for all art students. This can be found on 
your fee schedule - Fee:  $3.00/ Senior Cords: $12.00.
