Mission Statement
We provide educational experiences, in cooperation with the home and community, that prepare students for lifelong learning and for ethical, productive participation in a democratic society and the global community.
Would you like to know what we do in Speech Class?
Imagine that you're a ladybug sitting on a bookcase:
You would see children coming to work on speaking skills, listening skills, and thinking skills. The children could be in kindergarten or in fifth grade, but they come in small groups that are all in the same grade. Most often they stay about 30 minutes, and then they return to class.
You would hear children practicing sounds that are hard for them to say. You might hear children answering questions. You would definitely hear children asking questions! You would hear children laughing, because it's fun to think, and play games, and learn.
You would feel the bookcase vibrate, just a little, as the children hurry-in to sit in their favorite chair, or jump up to go stand on a "drama square", or crowd around the mirror so they can watch themselves perform a new skill.
Welcome!
