Class Photos- This page will highlight some of the labs and activities that we do in our class.

"What Clouds Do We See?"
Our classes went outside and observed clouds in the sky.  Students sketched drawings of the clouds.  As we studied the clouds, students were able to identify the clouds they had drawn.

 "What is Conduction?"
Students conducted this lab to determine which bar (steel or aluminum) heat would travel through faster.

"What Will Happen When Gobstoppers are Placed in Water?"

Each student made a hypothesis and then the students conducted the experiment. While observing, the students recorded their data by recording notes in their journal on their lab sheet and also created two drawings. Students also recorded questions that came to their minds as they made their observations. The data was then analyzed and students made their conclusions. As a class we looked at some of the questions that could be tested and talked about how students could design experiments to test some questions.  This allowed for a meaningful discussion about variables.
