The end of the year is quickly approaching! IEP meetings- Check! SC-Alt testing- Check! Now time to start wrapping up the rest of the school year! Over this last month of school, we are learning about the Solar System (Stansell), Fractions (Piper) and Magnets and Movement (Sosebee). My class seems to have really enjoyed learning lessons from other teachers this year! We hope to continue this tradition next year as well!
Please be sure to check your student's notebook daily for important information regarding the end of the year. Copies of all IEPs have been sent home so if a question arises please let me know! The last week of school is the busiest! Monday May 28th we have no school due to the Memorial Day holiday. Tuesday May 29th is a full school day. Wednesday-Friday are half days with dismissal at noon. The last day of school is June 1st!
Our last CBI for the year is Friday May 18th at Star Lanes Bowling! We will be going with Ms. Piper and Mrs. Sosebee's classes! Everyone really enjoyed our trip in the fall and we look forward to the fun again!
Craft Day is Friday May 11th! Our classroom is selling chances to win a Mother's Day Basket filled with over $500.00 worth of goodies! The basket includes: $200 Groupon to Diamond's Choice Jeweler, $25 Gift Certificate to Chophouse 47, $25 Gift Card to Macaroni Grill, VIP pass to Uptown Art Uncorked (worth $70), custom made wreath, precussion massager, candles, lotions, gardening tools, picture frame, vase, coffee mug, hot/cold comfort wrap, hand-made scarf and 31 make-up bag. Chances are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00! Come out and support the classrooms of Washington Center! All proceeds go straight to the classrooms!
